Futon for shiatsu, Ayurveda, Californian or other types of massage.
Creating items designed for shiatsu practitioners is one of the passions that led to the birth of our online store. The natural materials and simplicity of the futon blend perfectly with the practice of shiatsu both symbolically and materially. In collaboration with Accademia Shiatsu, Vivere Zen has created a professional futon that combines the soft texture of cotton with the support of coconut panels, rigid and light. This allows him to protect the operator's knees while maintaining a low weight, ideal for those who need a futon for shiatsu transportable.
Are you an operator of this industry? If your association, school or gym has an agreement with Vivere Zen, we offer a discount for you. If your school is not among those affiliated, call us: getting your deal is very simple.
All of our shiatsu and massage futons are made from natural and cruelty-free materials.
Not only futon: Other useful products for the practice of massages are special cushions such as neckroll or cervical pillows, to be inserted under the neck. Also check out the foldable tatami with coconut interior, light and easy to carry. Using it you will protect your knees in any setting. You will find these items in our selection dedicated to Shiatsu accessories .
Within this category, you will find futons with different characteristics depending on the purpose for which they were designed. The thickness in particular, can vary from 3 to 11 cm. Let's see together what is the best use for each of the products in the catalog.
Traditional Futons for Shiatsu: If you need to create a permanent Shiatsu area, the ideal solution is the 11 cm thick futon, resting on the tatami mats. A higher height is not recommended, because you would risk sinking too much. The tatami on the one hand creates the perfect Zen atmosphere, on the other hand isolates from the floor and offers a base support rigid and yielding at the same time. If it is not possible to use tatami mats, another solution is to put the futon on a carpet. The ideal size is at least one and a half squares, this allows the operator to remain at the side of the customer without being outside the futon.
Portable Futons for Shiatsu: A portable futon is extremely useful if you often take classes, if you have chosen to work at home, or if you simply don't have a studio with the space to create a fixed island. The best rolling futon is the Bag-Futon, with its 6 cm thickness offers a good compromise between comfort and lightness, all at a fairly low price. If instead you want the top for this category, look at the professional transportable futon in coconut and cotton. This is a mattress divided into folding panels, easy to carry thanks to its low weight and practical fabric case. For added comfort, you can choose to add one or two cotton flaps.
You can also use thinner futons for other types of massage : q6/8 cm ones if you want to create a permanent massage area, and 3 cm ones if you're looking for a portable product to use occasionally.
